A LITTLE ABOUT SASHA
Long before I was a birth worker or had a baby of my own, I was always a "birth junkie". I have spent years learning about the intricacies of birth: hospital birth, home birth, hormones during pregnancy and childbirth, interventions used during labor/delivery, breastfeeding, postpartum care and the spectrum of options available to women. I have been assisting families through the major life transition of pregnancy, birth and postpartum since 2013 when I became a birth & postpartum doula. I began my career as a birth worker in the greater Los Angeles area and started my birth business in 2016.
Since then, I have supported over one hundred births and had two babies of my own. In May 2018 I gave birth to my first baby which gave me personal perspective and insight into pregnancy, birth, postpartum and motherhood. In April 2021 I gave birth to my second baby, in the comfort of my home, which was yet another incredibly powerful, eye-opening experience into all things birth.
I offer families education and compassionate care for the birth of their baby and beyond. I believe every woman deserves the chance to create an empowering birth experience with gentle, non-judgmental, continuous support. We will do all we can to plan and prepare, while also building a strong team to work together in the present moment of birth to ensure you feel safe, respected, and empowered.
