Kristin was absolutely amazing as our birth doula. We had a home birth and it was so peaceful and comforting to have her with us. She came over when we felt we needed some extra support and was present with me through every surge - guiding my breath, applying gentle massage, encouraging me, and reminding me that our baby was getting closer with every moment. She was such a calm presence and made my husband and I feel relaxed and at ease through every phase of labor. She even captured beautiful pictures of the process and us becoming a family. I also decided to do placenta encapsulation and Kristin prepared everything so beautifully, including a five day smoothie preparation that helped with postpartum healing. She became a friend to us instantly and we're still texting updates and checking in all the time. She is an amazing human and was everything we needed to support us in the birth of our baby girl. -Lindsey G (March 2020)

2019 Kristin was our birth doula and I cannot say enough amazing things about her! I was hesitant about whether or not I would need/want a doula as I didn't know much about doula services... I can say with absolute confidence it was the best decision I ever made!
From the moment I met Kristin I felt a sense of connection and calm. I immediately felt comfortable with her energy and knew she would be the one to guide me through my birth journey. I can honestly say I'm not sure I would have made it through without her! She never left my side during my entire labor! She helped me make informed decisions during my birth process and remained encouraging and positive throughout the experience. She was also exceptional in my prenatal visits and continues to check in postpartum. Her support is unwavering! You absolutely cannot put a price on what she offers. I HIGHLY recommend Kristin for anyone considering a doula! You will be grateful for a lifetime! -Lizzie 2019 |
I would recommend Kristin to any expecting mom looking for an experienced doula. I decided to hire a doula 35 weeks pregnant and Kristin was recommended by a vendor at the hospital. I called her and we had a instant connection. Since I was so far along we quickly set up a face to face meeting with my husband. In our 3 hour meeting she went into detail about the birthing process, from labor to delivery. She helped me write up my birth plan and gave us a hospital bag check list. Kristin's very positive and patient, listening to my ideas along with giving good feedback about the realities of delivery. She also led my husband and I through some breathing techniques and ended with some meditation.
My son came 12 days early which threw out my plans of having my mom and my cousin in the room with me, as everyone was out of town for the weekend. It was just Kristin and my husband throughout my 18 hours of labor. She not only helped me breath through my contractions, she was a trooper in refreshing my throw up bag after every heave (my labor was not pretty thanks to some late night mushroom soup before my water broke). Kristin blended in with the hospital staff asking the nurses questions about my dilation, epidural levels, pitocin amount etc. Kristin helped my poor husband understand what was happening while I laid there from exhaustion. In the end, we had a baby boy and Kristin was able to capture the moment taking photos. I don't know how thing would have gone without her. Hiring Kristin was the best investment! -Alicia 2019 |
Kristin has been with us through two child births now, both of which we couldn't have done without her. Honestly, I can't imagine what my birthing experience would have been like if she wasn't part of that journey.
She is so intuitive and supportive of you as a mama, which I think there were times when I felt a little forgotten by the medical team. My first medical team was with midwife services and my second team was the traditional medical team while at birth in the hospital. Kristin seemed to know what I needed emotionally and physically at the time. She also had the perfect choice of words for me to help me feel validated and seen - again even during times when I was in my zone and couldn't speak much. There were so many things going on in my life the second time around and I appreciated how Kristin had some meditative exercises that helped ground and center me throughout the process. She also helped me to get to the place where I came up with my own mantras and positive affirmations. She incorporated essential oils to help calm me, she thought of important resources to help me prepare for child birth, and she was literally right there at every turn when I needed her. I write this review and know I could write more but being a mama of two boys close in age has me doing things in small batches. For now, this will have to do but I want to say how grateful we are for her. It's her presence that really is unique, not just her skillset. You'll love what she has to offer. She's like a walking mother earth!!! |
We absolutely recommend working with Kristin as a doula. We were able to have an initial meeting with Kristin where she answered our questions and explained what her role would be if we went forward with her as our doula. After deciding on Kristin as our doula, she provided wonderful support to me throughout the pregnancy. She checked in often, was available for questions, and was always excited to hear the updates from our OB appointments. We had the opportunity to meet with Kristin two more times in the pregnancy to go over our intentions for the delivery as well as to review and practice laboring positions. Kristin really brought a lot of positivity and peace to our labor and delivery preparation. I ended up having an extended laboring process (over a week), and Kristin was so encouraging throughout that time. Throughout the week she was always available to answer questions, bounce ideas off of, and even helped us work on a few things to help baby's positioning. Her presence and availability were so so appreciated during this time. When we finally made it to the hospital for our delivery, she was such a fantastic resource to help us work through decisions that needed to be made and to help us maintain the birth experience that we were hoping for. Kristin was a great addition to our birth team, and really complemented the role that my husband played as my primary birth partner. She helped us see all of the options that we had during labor. Kristin helped us to have the natural delivery that we wanted and we really can't say enough about just how wonderful she was to work with!

I was referred to Kristin for encapsulation by our Doula and Bradley method instructor. I highly recommend encapsulation and Kristin to anyone interested! Kristin was awesome about getting me all the information I needed to know about the process, dosage and specific procedures for the hospital I was giving birth at. I chose to do the smoothie prep and pills. We literally got everything the day after birth.
I was a bit nervous about the smoothie prep but Kristin's method made it so super easy. She was also super great about following up and making sure things were going smoothly! So happy with her service! -Tiffany B |
Pregnancy and childbirth can be the scariest, happiest, and most anxious time in a woman's life where her body, mind, and life are changing at an astounding rate (at least this was the case for me as a first time mom without much prior knowledge of the pregnancy and birth process). Having Kristin as my doula to guide me through this exciting time in my life was one of the greatest blessings. She was the positive and uplifting voice at the end of a hard day, she was the kind answer to any silly pregnancy or birth question I had, she was a shoulder to lean on when I wanted to give up or was doubting myself during pregnancy and labor, she was a mentor helping to keep my focus on the end goal versus the current pains and anxieties, and most importantly she was a friend and confidant that I knew I could trust with my thoughts, feelings, my body, and my baby. There are no words that could possibly portray just how thankful I am for her role in my pregnancy and labor. I would absolutely not have been able to have a natural, medication-free, water birth like I had so hoped and wished for without her support and assistance. My birth experience was everything I ever wanted and more and she helped me to realize my full potential and my ability to have the birth experience of my dreams. My labor was a grueling 30 hours and she never once complained, just stayed by my side and continued to provide positive words and encouragement and physical relief through the painful contractions and endless emotions that came along with it. I highly recommend having a doula for support during pregnancy and labor and specifically having Kristin as a doula. It is one of the best decisions I ever made! -Carly Anderson (Mama to Nala, born June 27, 2015)

As a first time mama I can honestly say that having a doula was one of the best choices I made throughout my nine glorious months of pregnancy. (In addition to encapsulating my placenta). My doula, Kristin, helped educated me on everything I needed to know and wanted to know about birth, postpartum, and most of all made me secure by making sure I knew what control I had in my birth story. She was emotionally supportive and available for me in the times I really needed her. Kristin has been one of the most loving, caring, and understanding women during this amazing time in my life and we carry on a special bond, even after I gave birth to my baby girl. She is truly a joyful doula.

Having Kristin as your doula, you are in amazing, caring, experienced hands. Birth is the most amazing, terrifying, exhausting, liberating, and miraculous experiences and it is pivotal to have a wonderful doula on your side through it all. I brought my sweet baby girl Harmony in this world, the natural way, with Kristin's sweet words of encouragement: "You've got this, Mama!” -Amanda Kraft (Mama to Harmony) |
Pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum is one of the most beautiful, challenging and emotional things a woman will ever go through. Having a support system is vital! Kristin was just that, a vital support system. In fact, she still is and Evalyn is 5 months old. During my pregnancy I constantly had Kristin there encouraging me and letting me know what a great job I was already doing as a mama! Evalyn was born via cesarean and Kristin was there to help me through the post-surgery pain, show me techniques to get Evalyn to latch, fix my hair, rub my neck and hold my hand when I was crying in pain. Kristin was so calming and truly made me feel so much better and got me through those moments with ease. Postpartum, as I have been in my new role as mother and trying to balance all my hormones, Kristin has been there to answer questions, love on my beautiful baby, support me emotionally and give me encouragement. Kristin was made to be a doula and anyone would be fortunate to have her next to your through the journey to motherhood. -Kehlie

I wouldn't have been able to get through the long birth (labor was 2 days) without Kristin's support! When my poor husband fell asleep, she was up with me massaging and rubbing my back. If your goal is a natural, un-medicated birth, hire a doula, call Kristin!!! -Dayana (Mama to Rose)
Kristin went on to support me for baby #2 and she's the best doula! I couldn't have done it without her.... both times! |
Kristin was recommended to me by my Hypnobirthing instructor as she is familiar with the techniques. Let me start by saying that Kristin is a ray of sunshine, full of positive, calming energy that shines right out of her! I recently gave birth to my second daughter and really wanted to utilize the Hypnobirthing techniques. She is full of knowledge in regard to what helps moms leading up to and being in labor. She was so encouraging and helpful throughout my labor process. She went above and beyond to be there for me and I will never forget that. She was there through every minute of my long 36 hour birth! She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns you have and constantly follows up with me to see how we are doing. If you are looking for a doula, Kristin is an excellent choice! I HIGHLY recommend her. She is wonderful. - Jennifer (2018 mama to Ruby)

We highly recommend Kristin as a doula. We were referred to Kristin by our instructor for a birthing course we took last year. When speaking to her over the phone, you can tell she really has a passion for what she does and is someone who is genuine and supportive. She is patient, nonjudgmental and respectful of whatever birth plan you may have. She has such a calm and nurturing presence, something we really needed during the birth of our daughter. When there were unexpected things that occurred during our labor, she respectfully stepped aside to allow us to come to whatever decision. Even after our daughter was born, she kept in touch and checked to see how we were doing. Genuine people like Kristin are really hard to come by and we are so thankful for her. - Janet & Dustin
